October Crystal of the Month: Citrine

Updated: Jan 5, 2023

Key attributes: manifestation; personal will; mental clarity; creativity

Citrine was used as a gem in Greece as far back as 300 B.C. Citrine carries a powerful frequency and is a crystal that can assist in protecting our energy field and transmuting negative or unwanted energies by emanating a "warm and sunny" energy, helping to keep us in a more fluid state of positivity and happiness. Citrine also helps to foster self-esteem, encourages generosity, and protects against self-destructive tendencies.

Citrine is known as the stone of imagination, and manifestation. This stone works on the higher mental plane, bringing about clarity, creativity, intelligence, and an awakened imagination. It's also known to increase one-pointedness and consistency. It’s a great stone for the second chakra. In fact, Citrine stimulates imagination in three ways – through the second, third, and sixth chakras. The frequency at which Citrine vibrates activates and harmonizes these three energy centers, initiating our creative energy and will, and increasing our ability to bring energy into form.

Citrine is believed to have the power of the Sun and can help you align with the warmth and optimism of the Sun.

Citrine activates our inner strength and attracts abundance, prosperity and success, love, and happiness. Citrine enables us to open more fully to the energy of Divine Will and the path of love. In working with Citrine, we are reminded that we are loved and supported by the Universe.

Citrine also helps enhance physical stamina and energy, supports the endocrine system, and encourages proper metabolism.

You can wear this stone as jewelry or keep it in your car, pocket, purse, backpack, or briefcase. Place Citrine on your desk or somewhere where you work, or anywhere in your house.
