💜 From My Heart to Yours
I've been sitting with a question as I've thought about this Full Harvest Moon:
Am I as willing to acknowledge and celebrate my growth as I am to identify the next thing I want to work on?
And if I'm being truthful, I'm not sure I always am.
I think it can be so easy when we're on a spiritual path to forget to acknowledge our growth, let alone celebrate it. We finish working through one thing and almost immediately turn our attention toward whatever comes next—the next shadow asking to be uncovered, the next old story or belief that needs our attention, the next layer of ourselves we're ready to understand more deeply.
There is always more.
More to learn. More to uncover. More to heal. More to integrate. More opportunities to know ourselves on an even deeper level.
I genuinely love that part of the spiritual journey. I love learning and growing, and I believe our inner work continues throughout our lives.
But I've also been realizing how rarely we give ourselves the same amount of attention when it comes to recognizing what we've already done.
How often do we actually stop and look at how far we've come?
How often do we acknowledge the beautiful, sometimes incredibly difficult work we've put into our healing and growth?
And how often do we allow ourselves to feel genuinely proud of the person we've become along the way?
Personally, this can be difficult for me.
As a double Virgo, perfection is a construct I'm continually learning to loosen my grip on. There can be a part of me that looks at growth and thinks, But I'm not finished yet. There is still something else I could work on. Something else I could understand better. Another place where I could grow.
Sometimes celebrating progress can almost feel like claiming a victory too soon.
But perhaps that's exactly the perspective I'm being invited to change.
Because the truth is, we aren't going to arrive at some final destination where all of our inner work is complete. If that's the standard we use before allowing ourselves to celebrate, we'll spend our entire lives moving the finish line.
Acknowledging our growth doesn't mean believing there is nothing left to learn.
It means becoming fully aware of how much we already have.
It means honoring the courage it took to look honestly at ourselves. The old stories we've questioned. The patterns we've become aware of. The boundaries we've learned to create. The ways we've learned to care for ourselves differently. The moments when we've chosen a new response even though the familiar one would have been easier.
And I think that's an important part of the spiritual journey too.
This Full Moon, I want to intentionally create space to examine and name my own growth—and then actually celebrate myself for how far I've come.
Even writing that makes me a little uncomfortable.
As an empath, I've spent so much of my life being aware of other people and putting their needs before my own that turning toward myself and saying, I'm proud of you. Look at what you've done, doesn't always come naturally.
But maybe that's part of my harvest too.
I can acknowledge the discomfort without allowing it to make the decision for me. I can notice it, understand where it comes from, and choose to move through it toward something different.
In fact, one of the things I most want to celebrate within myself right now is how much my understanding of spiritual growth has changed.
I used to think being deeply committed to a spiritual path meant I should eventually reach a place where I didn't slip backward—where I wouldn't fall into an old story, react from an old belief, or find myself responding to an experience in a way I thought I'd already moved beyond.
I'm beginning to understand it very differently.
For me, spiritual growth isn't about never returning to an old pattern. It's about developing enough awareness to recognize when I have.
Sometimes I catch it immediately.
Sometimes it takes a little longer.
But when I become aware, I have an opportunity to stop and acknowledge what's happening. I can ask myself whether this old story is still true. I can recognize the reaction I'm having without automatically allowing it to determine what happens next.
And then I can choose how I want to proceed.
That doesn't mean I'll always make the "right" choice. I'm human. Sometimes I'll still react. Sometimes I'll realize afterward that I wish I had handled something differently.
But those moments don't erase my growth.
If anything, I'm learning that growth can be found in the awareness itself—in becoming more conscious of how I'm moving through my life and recognizing that I have choices where I once may have felt like I didn't.
That feels like something worth celebrating.
And perhaps this Full Harvest Moon offers all of us an opportunity to stop looking toward the next thing for just a moment and turn around to see how much ground we've already covered.
Your harvest doesn't have to be something the outside world can see.
It may be the way you speak to yourself now.
The boundary you can finally hold.
The fear that no longer makes every decision for you.
The way you return to yourself more quickly.
The compassion you have learned to offer yourself.
The courage you've discovered.
The person you've become.
Whatever your harvest looks like, perhaps you can allow yourself to name it.
To honor it.
To feel grateful for everything that helped you arrive here.
And maybe, even if it feels a little uncomfortable at first, to celebrate yourself for how far you've come.
There will always be another opportunity to grow.
Tonight, perhaps we can give ourselves permission to recognize how beautifully we already have.
🌿 Understanding This Full Moon
Every Full Moon brings us to a moment of illumination within the lunar cycle. What began beneath the darkness of a New Moon has had time to grow, evolve, and reveal itself more fully. Full Moons invite us to pause and notice what has come into greater awareness—what we've learned, what has shifted, what may be reaching completion, and what we are now able to see more clearly.
This month's Full Moon takes place in Aries, a fire sign associated with courage, individuality, independence, initiative, self-trust, and forward movement. Ruled by Mars, Aries carries an energy that encourages us to reconnect with our own sense of self and become more conscious of the direction we want to take from here.
There is something especially meaningful about experiencing this energy beneath the Full Harvest Moon.
The Harvest Moon is the name traditionally given to the Full Moon occurring closest to the Autumn Equinox. Arriving just days after the Equinox this year, it carries a beautiful symbolic connection to the season of harvest—a time when we gather what has grown, appreciate what has sustained us, and recognize the fruits of everything that has been tended throughout the seasons before.
We can experience that same process within ourselves.
Our personal harvest isn't limited to goals we've accomplished or things we can point to in the outside world. Some of our most meaningful growth happens quietly and internally, gradually becoming part of who we are before we even recognize how much has changed.
Perhaps you trust yourself more than you once did. Maybe you've strengthened a boundary, learned to recognize your own needs sooner, developed greater compassion for yourself, navigated a difficult season, or discovered strength you didn't know you possessed.
All of this can be part of your harvest.
September's theme of Integration & Harvest has invited us to look at what our experiences have taught us and consider how we want to carry that wisdom forward. This Full Moon offers an opportunity to pause within that process and actually acknowledge what has already become part of us.
The illumination of the Full Moon can help us see those changes more clearly—the lessons we've integrated, the courage we've developed, and the ways our inner work has begun showing up in how we actually live.
And then Aries asks us an important question:
What are you ready to do with everything you now know about yourself?
Aries brings movement to the reflective energy of harvest. Once we've acknowledged what has grown, we have an opportunity to carry that growth forward with greater confidence and self-trust.
Perhaps recognizing your growth helps you finally take a step you've been hesitant to take. Maybe you're ready to trust an intuitive knowing rather than immediately questioning it. You might feel called to speak more honestly, make a decision you've been circling around, advocate for something you need, begin something that matters to you, or stop shrinking yourself back into an older version of who you were.
Courage doesn't have to look dramatic.
Sometimes courage is quietly choosing to believe what your own growth has already shown you.
There is also a natural place for release beneath a Full Moon. As we recognize what we've gathered and who we've become, we may become more aware of something we no longer want to carry into the season ahead.
Perhaps an old expectation no longer fits. Maybe a familiar fear has been given more influence than you want it to have. You may recognize a belief about yourself that no longer reflects what you know to be true, or a way of moving through life that belongs more to the person you were than the person you are now.
There is no need to search for something to release simply because the Moon is full. Allow your own awareness to guide you. If something naturally comes forward, you can acknowledge it, appreciate whatever it may have taught you, and decide whether you're ready to carry it differently—or leave it behind.
For empaths and highly sensitive people, this Full Moon can also offer an opportunity to turn some of the awareness we so naturally extend toward others back toward ourselves. To recognize our strengths. To appreciate what we've overcome. To acknowledge the ways we've changed and allow ourselves to feel proud of that growth.
As you move through the energy of this Full Harvest Moon, consider what has grown within you and what your experiences have taught you about your own strength, courage, and capacity to trust yourself.
The Harvest Moon reminds us to gather and appreciate what has grown. Aries reminds us that our growth can also become part of how we move forward.
Together, they offer an invitation to honor the person you have become, trust the wisdom you've gathered along the way, and enter the next season with greater courage, gratitude, and confidence in yourself.
✨ Reflection Questions
Take your time with these questions. There is no need to answer them all at once. Trust whichever question calls to you first.
When I look back over this year so far, where can I clearly see that I have grown?
What changes within myself am I genuinely proud of, even if they may not be visible to anyone else?
Where do I respond to myself, other people, or difficult experiences differently than I once did?
What people, experiences, practices, or forms of support am I especially grateful for as I reflect on what has helped me grow?
What have my experiences taught me about my own courage, strength, or ability to trust myself?
What part of my growth am I ready to acknowledge and celebrate more fully?
As I recognize who I am now, is there an old belief, expectation, fear, or way of seeing myself that I no longer need to carry forward?
How can I honor everything I have learned by moving forward with greater courage and trust in myself?
🌙 A Healing Haven Lunar Ritual
This ritual is an invitation, not a requirement. Adapt it in whatever way feels most supportive for you.
Prepare Your Space
Choose a quiet place where you can be fully present with yourself.
If it feels meaningful, gather a few items that help you connect with this Full Harvest Moon's energy, such as:
A candle
Your journal
A favorite crystal
A cup of herbal tea
Your favorite oracle deck
Something that represents harvest or abundance to you, such as an apple, small pumpkin, seasonal flower, acorn, colorful leaf, or another gift from the natural world
Take a few slow, steady breaths and allow yourself to settle into the space you've created.
For these next few moments, give yourself permission to stop looking ahead. There will be time for the next step. Right now, simply allow yourself to be here and acknowledge the journey that brought you to this moment.
Create a Moment of Presence
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you. With each breath, allow yourself to become a little more present in your body and in this moment.
When you feel ready, place both hands over your heart.
Quietly say:
"I honor the journey that has brought me here. May I see my growth clearly, receive the wisdom of all I have experienced, and allow myself to celebrate the person I am becoming."
Take a few more slow breaths.
When you are ready, gently open your eyes.
Gather Your Harvest
Open your journal and write:
My Harvest
Take a moment to reflect on the months that have brought you here.
Begin writing down the ways you have grown.
Your harvest might include something you've accomplished or created, but allow yourself to look beyond what can easily be measured.
Perhaps you've become more compassionate with yourself.
Maybe you've strengthened a boundary, trusted yourself through a difficult decision, deepened a relationship, returned to something you love, navigated a challenging experience, or begun responding differently to an old trigger or pattern.
Perhaps you've become more comfortable using your voice.
Maybe you've learned to rest without as much guilt, ask for help, receive support, protect your energy, follow your intuition, or recognize your own needs sooner.
Write down whatever feels meaningful to you.
Don't worry about whether something seems significant enough to include. If it represents growth to you, it belongs in your harvest.
When you feel complete, slowly read through what you've written.
Allow yourself to take it in.
Honor & Celebrate
Choose one piece of your harvest that feels especially meaningful.
Ask yourself:
What did this growth require from me?
Perhaps it required courage, patience, trust, compassion, persistence, vulnerability, a willingness to begin again, or simply the decision to keep showing up for yourself.
Write down whatever comes forward.
Then consider:
How would I like to celebrate or honor this growth?
Your celebration doesn't need to be elaborate. You might speak a few words of acknowledgment to yourself, enjoy a favorite meal, spend time doing something you love, buy yourself flowers, take a walk somewhere beautiful, share your accomplishment with someone you trust, or simply allow yourself to feel proud without immediately moving on to what comes next.
Choose something that feels genuine to you.
Consider What You Will Carry Forward
Now bring your attention toward the season ahead.
Ask yourself:
What from this harvest do I want to carry forward with me?
Perhaps it is greater confidence.
A deeper trust in yourself.
A boundary you've learned to honor.
A practice that supports you.
A new understanding of who you are.
A sense of courage you didn't know you had.
Write down what you want to consciously carry with you.
If something also becomes clear that no longer reflects who you are or where you're going, you can acknowledge that too.
There is nothing you need to force yourself to release. Simply notice what feels complete, what feels ready to change, and what you want to give less space to as you move forward.
Then ask:
How can I honor my growth through the way I move forward from here?
Allow your answer to come without needing to know every step.
Oracle Card Practice
Your Harvest & Courage Spread
Shuffle your oracle deck while holding everything you've reflected upon gently in your awareness.
Draw one to three cards.
Card One
What part of my growth am I being invited to recognize and celebrate?
Card Two
What wisdom from my experiences am I ready to carry forward?
Card Three
Where am I being invited to trust myself and move forward with greater courage?
Spend a few quiet moments with your cards.
Before reaching for the guidebook, notice your own impressions first. Pay attention to the imagery, symbols, words, feelings, or intuitive responses that naturally stand out to you.
Allow the cards to deepen your reflection rather than looking for a specific answer or prediction.
Quiet Integration
Sit quietly for several minutes.
You may choose to meditate, listen to calming music, spend time beneath the Full Moon, sip your tea, or simply remain in the space you've created and allow yourself to receive everything you've acknowledged.
Return to the list of your harvest one final time.
Instead of searching for what comes next, allow yourself to appreciate what is already here.
Place both hands over your heart.
Take one slow, deep breath.
Quietly say:
"I honor how far I have come. I am grateful for what has grown, for what I have learned, and for everything that has helped me arrive here. I carry my wisdom forward with courage and trust."
Offer yourself gratitude for taking the time to recognize and celebrate your own growth.
Blow out your candle, knowing that honoring your harvest does not mean your journey is complete. It simply means you have allowed yourself to recognize how beautifully you have already grown.
🔮 Crystal & Plant Allies
As with every Healing Haven practice, these are offered as gentle companions rather than necessities. Trust your own intuition if another crystal, flower, herb, or essential oil feels more supportive for you during this Full Moon. Your relationship with these natural allies will always be more meaningful than following a prescribed list.
Crystals
Tiger's Eye
Grounding while also supporting courage and confidence, Tiger's Eye can help us remain centered as we recognize our own strength and consider where we're ready to go from here. It encourages self-trust, discernment, and the ability to move forward with greater confidence in ourselves and the wisdom we've gained through our experiences.
Sunstone
Warm, joyful, and empowering, Sunstone is a beautiful ally for a Full Moon centered around recognizing and celebrating personal growth. Its energy encourages confidence, vitality, and a greater willingness to acknowledge our own light. Sunstone can remind us that celebrating ourselves and feeling proud of how far we've come can be meaningful parts of our healing and spiritual journey.
Red Jasper
Steady and deeply grounding, Red Jasper is associated with strength, endurance, courage, and stability. It can support us in recognizing the resilience we've developed through everything we've experienced while helping us feel rooted as we carry that growth forward. Rather than rushing toward whatever comes next, Red Jasper invites us to move from the solid foundation we've already created within ourselves.
Essential Oils
Bergamot
Bright and uplifting, Bergamot can bring a sense of warmth and emotional lightness to a practice centered around gratitude and celebration. Its encouraging aroma can support confidence and help create an atmosphere where we can more easily acknowledge what feels good, meaningful, and worthy of appreciation in our lives.
Cedarwood
Earthy, grounding, and steadying, Cedarwood can help us feel rooted within ourselves as we reflect on the journey that brought us here. Its supportive energy pairs beautifully with the strength and self-trust of Aries while also connecting us with the seasonal movement toward autumn—a time of gathering inward, grounding, and carrying forward what will sustain us.
Herbal Tea
A warm cup of cinnamon, ginger, or tulsi tea can offer a comforting companion for your Full Moon practice. Their warming qualities pair beautifully with Aries' fire energy while creating an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and savor the moment as you acknowledge your personal harvest.
Flowers
Dahlias, zinnias, and goldenrod can be beautiful companions for this Full Harvest Moon.
Dahlias can symbolize inner strength, resilience, and the confidence that develops as we grow more fully into ourselves. Zinnias invite us to remember and appreciate the people, experiences, and connections that have accompanied us along the way. Goldenrod, blooming abundantly around the transition into autumn, offers a beautiful reflection of resilience, abundance, and the richness of the season itself.
Together, these flowers remind us that our personal harvest includes so much more than what we've accomplished. It also includes the strength we've developed, the relationships and experiences that have supported us, and everything within us that has continued to grow.
If these flowers aren't available to you, allow yourself to choose something blooming naturally in your area or another flower that represents your own growth and personal harvest.
🌿 Closing Blessing
As this Full Harvest Moon illuminates the night sky, may you allow its light to illuminate your own journey too.
May you pause long enough to recognize the ground you have covered and the ways you have grown—both the changes others can see and the quieter transformations known only to you.
May you honor the courage it has taken to arrive here.
The moments you chose differently.
The times you listened to yourself.
The boundaries you learned to honor.
The lessons you carried forward.
The times you stumbled, became aware, and found your way back to yourself again.
May you remember that none of these moments require perfection to be meaningful.
May you feel gratitude for the people who have walked beside you, the practices that have supported you, the experiences that have shaped you, and the wisdom you have gathered along the way.
And may you also remember to include yourself in that gratitude.
You have participated in your own becoming.
You have made choices, taken chances, moved through discomfort, asked difficult questions, begun again, and continued showing up for yourself in ways you may not always recognize.
Let yourself recognize them now.
May you allow yourself to feel proud of what you have cultivated without immediately searching for the next place you need to grow.
May you celebrate what deserves to be celebrated.
May you gather the wisdom of this season and carry forward what strengthens, nourishes, and reflects the person you are today.
And if something has become too small for the person you are becoming, may you have the courage to gently leave it behind.
As you move into the season ahead, may you trust yourself a little more deeply.
Trust what you've learned.
Trust what you've lived.
Trust the strength you've discovered within yourself.
Trust that you can continue meeting your life with awareness, intention, and the freedom to choose your direction again and again.
Your journey will continue.
There will be more to learn, more to experience, and more opportunities to grow.
But beneath this Full Harvest Moon, may you give yourself permission to simply look at what is already here and say:
I see how far I've come.
I honor who I've become.
And I am ready to carry this wisdom forward.
May you celebrate your harvest with gratitude, honor your growth with love, and step into what comes next with courage and trust in yourself.
