💜 From My Heart to Yours
A week ago, under the New Moon in Cancer, we were invited to come home to ourselves.
Perhaps you've spent the past week slowing down just enough to hear your own inner voice more clearly. Maybe you've noticed old memories resurfacing, recognized patterns that no longer serve you, or found yourself craving a little more quiet than usual. Whatever this lunar cycle has held for you, I hope you've offered yourself the same compassion and gentleness that you so naturally extend to others.
One of the things I've noticed as I've moved through the energy of this New Moon is how much easier it has become to create space for myself.
If you know me, you know I love my work. Most days, I'm moving from one task to the next, often spending hours at my computer without taking much of a break. Slowing down hasn't always come naturally to me, even when I know it's exactly what I need.
Since then, though, something has quietly shifted.
There were moments when I intentionally chose to give myself more space—to spend quiet time journaling before class instead of filling every hour and, later, when I found myself feeling a bit under the weather, to stay home, rest, nourish my body, read a book I'd been wanting to read, and simply allow myself time to recover rather than pushing through.
As I've reflected on those moments, I've realized the most meaningful part wasn't that I slowed down. It was that I didn't have to convince myself it was okay. That familiar voice that used to tell me I was being lazy or that I should be doing something more productive was remarkably quiet.
Instead, slowing down simply felt like the kindest thing I could do for myself.
To me, that feels like the quiet gift this lunar cycle has offered. Sometimes we measure healing by dramatic breakthroughs or life-changing moments. But sometimes healing is much quieter. Sometimes it's noticing that an old story no longer has the same hold on us. Sometimes it's realizing we've responded differently than we would have just a few months ago.
As we arrive at this Full Moon, I'm finding myself deeply grateful for those subtle shifts.
If the New Moon invited us inward, this Full Moon gently encourages us outward—not by asking us to perform, prove ourselves, or become someone different, but by inviting us to live more fully as the person we've been rediscovering.
For me, healing has never been about becoming a new version of ourselves. It's about gently peeling back the layers of expectation, fear, old stories, and self-protection until what remains feels honest, peaceful, and deeply authentic.
Perhaps part of stepping into our authentic light is allowing the changes happening within us to become visible in the way we live—in the choices we make, the care we offer ourselves, and the old expectations we no longer allow to guide us.
This Full Moon reminds us that the light we are meant to share with the world has never needed to be created.
It has simply been waiting for us to trust it.
🌿 Understanding This Full Moon
Full Moons are often described as times of illumination, culmination, and release. While there is truth in that, I also like to think of them as moments of witnessing. They gently shine a light on what has been growing beneath the surface, allowing us to see ourselves—and our journey—with greater clarity.
This Full Moon takes place in Aquarius, opposite the Sun in Leo. Together, these two signs invite us to explore the relationship between our individuality and our connection with others. Leo encourages us to lead with the heart and express our unique light, while Aquarius reminds us that our gifts become even more meaningful when they are shared in ways that contribute to something beyond ourselves.
Rather than pulling us in opposite directions, this Full Moon asks us to find harmony between these two energies. How can you honor your authentic self while remaining deeply connected to your community, your relationships, and the world around you? How can you allow your individuality to become a bridge rather than a barrier?
Another meaningful shift accompanies this Full Moon. Mercury has now stationed direct after its recent retrograde, offering an opportunity to move forward with greater clarity. The reflections, memories, and insights that may have surfaced over the past several weeks begin to settle into understanding. While healing is rarely a straight line, there are moments when we suddenly recognize that we've gained a new perspective or that something which once felt heavy no longer carries the same weight.
Aquarius, an air sign, encourages us to gently step back from our emotions just enough to see the larger picture. This isn't about disconnecting from our feelings or becoming overly analytical. Rather, it's an invitation to hold our emotions with compassion while also allowing wisdom, curiosity, and perspective to guide us forward.
For empaths, this can be especially supportive. So many sensitive souls have learned to shape themselves around the needs, expectations, or comfort of others. Over time, it can become difficult to distinguish between who we truly are and who we've learned to be in order to feel accepted or safe.
This Full Moon lovingly asks:
What parts of yourself have been waiting for permission to come into the light?
Perhaps it's your creativity.
Your voice.
Your intuition.
Your boundaries.
Your dreams.
Or perhaps it's simply the quieter, truer version of yourself that no longer wishes to hide behind old expectations or familiar roles.
This isn't a moon of rebellion or dramatic reinvention.
It's a moon of gentle authenticity.
It reminds us that we don't need to become someone new in order to shine. More often, we are simply invited to release the layers that have been dimming our light.
As this Full Moon illuminates the night sky, consider not only what you're ready to release, but also what you're finally ready to embrace. The journey that began under the Cancer New Moon invited you to come home to yourself. This moon gently asks what becomes possible when you begin living from that place of belonging. Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is allow our authentic light to be seen—not for recognition or approval, but because it is the truest expression of who we are.
✨ Reflection Questions
As you spend time with this Full Moon, remember that these questions are not meant to be answered perfectly. Instead, allow them to become gentle companions for reflection. Trust the ones that stir something within you and return to them as often as you need throughout this lunar cycle.
Since the New Moon in Cancer, where have I noticed growth within myself, even if it has been quiet or subtle?
What parts of myself feel more authentic today than they did just a few weeks ago?
Where have I been dimming my own light to meet the expectations or comfort of others?
What old role, identity, belief, or expectation am I ready to lovingly release?
When do I feel most like myself? What environments, relationships, or practices allow that version of me to flourish?
What unique gifts, qualities, or perspectives am I being invited to share more openly with the world?
How can I honor both my individuality and my connection to those around me?
As I move into this next chapter, what does living authentically look and feel like for me?
🌕 A Ritual of Witnessing
The Full Moon has long been associated with release, but before we let anything go, I believe it's important to pause and acknowledge the journey that brought us here.
This ritual is not about striving to become someone new.
It is about honoring who you have been, recognizing who you are becoming, and gently releasing what no longer reflects the truth of your heart.
Take your time. Adapt each step in whatever way feels supportive for you.
Prepare Your Space
Choose a quiet space where you can be fully present with yourself.
If it feels meaningful, gather a few items that help you settle into the moment, such as:
A candle
Your journal
A comforting cup of herbal tea
One or two crystals
Your favorite oracle deck
A small bowl for safely holding pieces of paper
Take several slow breaths.
Notice the support beneath you.
Allow yourself to arrive without rushing.
There is nothing you need to accomplish here.
Simply be present.
Ground Yourself
Place one hand over your heart and the other over your belly.
Close your eyes.
With each inhale, imagine drawing in calm, clarity, and gentle confidence.
With each exhale, imagine releasing any pressure to be anyone other than yourself.
When you feel ready, quietly say:
"I welcome the wisdom of this Full Moon. May I see myself with honesty, compassion, and gratitude. May I have the courage to release what no longer reflects who I am becoming."
Witness Your Growth
Before thinking about what you'd like to release, spend a few quiet moments reflecting on how you've grown.
In your journal, complete these prompts:
Since the New Moon, I have...
I am proud of myself for...
One way I have honored myself is...
One truth I understand more deeply now is...
Allow yourself to celebrate even the smallest moments of growth.
Healing is rarely measured by dramatic breakthroughs.
More often, it's found in the quiet choices we make each day.
Release with Gratitude
On a small piece of paper, write down one belief, expectation, fear, role, or habit that no longer feels aligned with the person you are becoming.
Before setting it aside, pause.
Rather than judging this part of yourself, thank it.
You might quietly say:
"Thank you for helping me in the ways you knew how. I honor the role you once played in my life, and I now release you with love."
If it feels safe and appropriate, you may choose to safely burn the paper in a fire-safe container.
If burning doesn't feel right, simply tear the paper into small pieces or place it in your recycling or compost as a symbolic act of release.
Remember, the ritual is not in how the paper leaves your hands.
The ritual is in the intention behind it.
Welcome Your Authentic Light
Return to your journal and write:
As I move forward, I choose to...
Complete the sentence slowly.
Don't think about what you should write.
Listen instead for what feels true.
When you're finished, place your hand over your heart once more and imagine the Full Moon gently illuminating every part of you that is ready to be seen—not by the world first, but by yourself.
Sit quietly for several minutes.
Notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Notice how it feels to simply be yourself.
When you feel complete, extinguish your candle with gratitude, trusting that the light you've been cultivating continues to shine long after the flame has gone out.
🔮 Oracle Card Practice
Authentic Light Spread
As you shuffle your oracle cards, hold this intention gently in your heart:
"May these cards reflect the wisdom my soul is ready to remember."
Draw one to three cards.
Card One
What authentic part of myself is asking to be seen more fully?
Card Two
What old belief, role, or expectation am I ready to release with compassion?
Card Three
How can I share my gifts in a way that feels grounded, genuine, and aligned with my highest good?
Spend a few quiet moments sitting with the imagery, symbols, and emotions that arise before reaching for the guidebook.
Trust your own intuition first.
Often the most meaningful message is the one your heart recognizes before your mind begins searching for answers.
💎 Crystal & Plant Allies
As with every Healing Haven practice, these are offered as gentle companions rather than necessities. Trust your own intuition if another crystal, flower, or herb feels more supportive for you during this Full Moon. Your relationship with these allies is always more important than following a prescribed list.
Crystals
Labradorite
Known as a stone of transformation and inner wisdom, labradorite encourages you to trust your intuition while embracing the authentic parts of yourself that are ready to emerge. It gently reminds us that our uniqueness is one of our greatest strengths.
Amethyst
A beautiful ally for clarity, spiritual insight, and emotional balance, amethyst supports quiet reflection while helping us remain grounded in our own inner truth.
Clear Quartz
Often called the master healer, clear quartz amplifies intention and brings greater clarity to what is already present within us. It serves as a wonderful companion when setting intentions to live more authentically.
Essential Oils
Frankincense
Encourages presence, reflection, and a deeper connection to your inner wisdom.
Sweet Orange
Brings warmth, optimism, creativity, and joyful self-expression, reminding us that authenticity can be both peaceful and uplifting.
Herbal Tea
Consider preparing a warm cup of tulsi (holy basil) or lavender tea as you move through your reflection. Both invite moments of calm presence while encouraging you to slow down and simply be with yourself.
Flowers
Sunflowers, lavender, or white daisies make beautiful companions for this Full Moon. Each reflects a different aspect of this lunar cycle—joy, peace, resilience, and the quiet courage to turn toward the light.
🌿 Closing Blessing
May this Full Moon remind you that your light has never needed to be earned.
May you release the expectations that have asked you to become someone you are not.
May you honor every version of yourself that has walked beside you, recognizing that each one carried you faithfully to this moment.
May you trust your own voice, your own intuition, and the quiet wisdom that continues to unfold within you.
May you have the courage to be seen exactly as you are—without apology, without comparison, and without shrinking to fit the expectations of others.
May your unique gifts become a source of joy, not only for those whose lives you touch, but for your own heart as well.
And as this Full Moon gently illuminates the night sky, may it also illuminate the path before you, reminding you that authenticity is not something you must achieve.
It is something you simply allow yourself to live.
A Gentle Invitation
As this lunar cycle comes to a close, consider returning to the intentions you set during the New Moon in Cancer.
Notice what has shifted.
Notice what has softened.
Notice what has become clearer.
You may find that some intentions have already begun to take root, while others are still quietly unfolding beneath the surface.
Both are worthy of your trust.
Healing rarely follows a straight line, and growth is seldom measured by dramatic moments alone. More often, it is revealed through the small, consistent choices we make to honor ourselves with greater compassion, honesty, and presence.
Carry the insights from this Full Moon with you into the weeks ahead, allowing them to gently guide your conversations, your choices, your relationships, and the way you care for yourself each day.
The journey doesn't end as this moon begins to wane.
In many ways, it is just beginning.
May this reflection gently support your journey, reminding you that healing unfolds one mindful step, one quiet moment, and one compassionate choice at a time.
